The SePA Chapter of AACN and Virtua are pleased to invite you to the annual Research Dinner Program! This is one of our largest and most successful events of the year, so we hope you can attend!
Our guest speaker will be Kathryn Bowles, PhD, RN, FAAN. Dr. Bowles' program of research examines decision making supported by information technology to improve care for older adults. Her ongoing study, funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research, focuses on decision making and the development of decision support for hospital discharge referral decisions. Dr. Bowles has disclosed that she is the Co-Founder and owns equity in RightCare Solutions, a business based on her research. This program is sponsored by AstraZeneca and the planning committee members have nothing to disclose.
Target Audience: Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, and SePA Members
Learning Objectives:
• Describe the evolution of a program of research from a simple clinical question to an information technology business
• Demonstrate an expert knowledge engineering methodology
• Engage in discussion about the value and power of nursing documentation
