Doctoral Student Seeks Additional Critical Care Nurses for Study

Posted over 9 years ago by Laurie Dougherty

Hi Critical Care Nurse!

I am seeking participation in a study about critical care staff nurses.

I am completing a mixed-methods (multi-step) research study as a doctoral student in nursing at the University of Texas at Tyler. The study focuses on factors influencing critical care staff nurses to speak up about patient safety. The current final survey has been advertised during the month of November 2014 on the American Association of Critical Care Nurses website for their newsletter - The AACN ENewsline. I am looking for a big sample to obtain statistically significant results, and will need about 50 additional participants.

The survey is targeted towards critical care staff nurses, so an intermediate care, ER, or ICU staff nurse (must work at least 20 hours per week caring for the critically ill) would qualify. I am offering an incentive - opportunity to be in a drawing for one of three I-Pad minis. You do not have to be a member of the AACN. The survey is nationwide, so it is not targeted to a specific hospital or region; and the survey is anonymous. I would greatly appreciate your help through participation or passing on the link to other critical care staff nurses you know this week.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for your support!
